100 employers now offer paid leave for flight-free travel through Climate Perks!

We’ve reached a big milestone. Over 100 organisations, covering more than 5,500 employees, are now offering paid leave for flight-free travel through Climate Perks.

These organisations have shown that they’re taking the climate crisis seriously - and they’re also reaping the benefits of improved staff recruitment, retention and wellbeing.

Two new membership offerings

We have news. To celebrate reaching this milestone, we’re launching two new membership options. These have been designed in consultation with our founding members, to help organisations gain maximum benefits from Climate Perks in terms of employee retention and recruitment, climate impact and brand reputation.

Climate Perks Premium membership

Climate Perks Premium members will receive lots of new benefits, all developed based on what current members said would be most useful to them. These include:

  • Personalised carbon reporting on their emissions savings through Climate Perks,

  • Staff discounts on eco-friendly travel through our partners Byway, Ecosy and Canopy & Stars,

  • Organisational discounts on sustainable workplace solutions through our partners Futureproof and Routezero,

  • Invitations to exclusive member events,

  • Priority access to press and media opportunities designed to highlight their climate leadership,

  • Staff access to a private member portal to plan and book flight-free trips, and

  • Ongoing one-to-one support for employees and implementers.

On top of this, we’ll keep providing all organisations - paying and non-paying - with template policy documents, employee procedures, roll-out materials and our member newsletter, to make it quick and simple to implement the scheme.

Climate Perks Patron membership

Climate Perks Patron members will benefit from all the same perks as Premium members, whilst also supporting us to accelerate the clean travel revolution. They’ll receive:

  • Their logo on the homepage of the Climate Perks website and our employee member portal,

  • A tailored website announcement and press release to announce their Patron membership,

  • Reference on all major Climate Perks member communications and materials, including speaker presentations, member newsletters and press releases,

  • Annual programme impact reports for internal and external publication.

Climate Perks is a charity-run scheme, and launching these new paid membership offerings is an important step to help us reach financial sustainability. However, our goal remains the same: to empower as many people as possible to choose flight-free travel. Therefore, we’ll still have a free version of Climate Perks with fewer benefits available to all organisations.
